Shiites clash with Soldiers in Abuja

After the clash between the Islamic Movement of Nigeria aka Shiites and security agents on Monday October 29th at Nyanya-Keffi expressway that resulted to the death of about 50 members of the Shiites group by the security agents

At least five people were feared dead Tuesday in a fresh clash between soldiers and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria in Abuja.

A spokesperson for the group, told News men that the group’s members were killed, “after they repeatedly tried to avoid military attacks” around central parts of Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The IMN members are protesting the continued detention of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

The IMN began a three-day trek across some states of the federation on Sunday.

But the processions have been bloody in Abuja. The army has however accused the Shiite members of violently confronting them, resulting in the attacks
